I stupidly ended a contract early with Primus in May when I moved and instead of them taking the £82.52 I owed them on 15 June they took £173.44.
When I contacted them they admitted to owing me £90.92 it and because of their 'accounts cycle' they could not refund my money for 21-28 days. When this period passed last Wed I contacted them again this time there was a problem with accounts department and I would have to wait another 14 days!
I got the name of a manager who I spoke to who was to call me back last Fri explaining exactly what the problem was, with the accounts department but of course he has not called me back.
Anyone else had any similar experiences and any tips for dealing with them?
Obviously they are stringing me along hoping I will forget about the money and stop calling them...

If Primus took the money by direct debit and did not tell you how much they were going to take beforehand, you could claim a full and immediate refund from your bank via the direct debit guarantee scheme.

.. and if not, and it was by debit or credit card, you can contract your card issuer and have them perform a "charge back" - less unequivocal, a bit more work (you'll have to fill something in and send it back) but will get your money back, possibly a bit quicker than they're prepared to refund.
You'll then need to pay just the bit you owe e.g. via BACS.0
