Adam, give me a company to run and I'll ruin it, Crozier is now running ITV.
( fresh from his triumphs at the FA and the Post office)
His master plan is to make the HD versions (who knew) of ITV 2,3, and 4 into paid for channels.
Does any one watch them now, will they ever in the future?
Confused you will be , committed he should be!

Al he is doing is wholesale selling them to sky who will include them in the HD pack. Yes that means they wont be fta but its unlikely advertising alone will cover the hd costs so its really the only option to get them launched. The alternative is to not have them at all. Its no different to what channel 4 did with E4HD.0

I assume that this means there is little chance of ITV launching any additional HD channels on Freesat/Freeview HD though. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thats the way I would read it. I would also say it confirms that the sky hd charge is staying as these channels are launching based on taking a share of that charge.0 -

Every time I ... spread a slice of bread, open a can of beer, pour beans on my toast etc etc. We all pay for ITV whether we like it or not. At least I actually get value for oney from my TV License.
I thought that ITV was going to die a slow death when it turned into a gambling channel a few years back. Perhaps that would have been kinder?0 -
Other than Champions League games do ITV actually broadcast anything in HD?If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button
