Phew, thats the appeal letter done and photo included....am dreading the hearing having to plead my case infront of a panel
I've done it twice now, once for primary and once for secondary - it's not as hair raising as you might think although there are lots of people in the room and it's hard to know who to look at - but do go armed with your appeal letter and a list of points/questions.

I knew someone at school who loved lemons. Only one person mind. You're almost unique!

Well we didn't win either so not sure I'm the best person to help...mind you the first one was for primary and they were full...they simply couldn't take anyone else as they didn't have the room....not quite sure why they let it go to appeal when there's nothing they could do.......second one was secondary school and DD2 was 1 mark off passing the entrance exam...she actually scored 3 marks more than DD1 did (2 years previously) but because of the higher percentage of people passing they didn't look further down the list to fill spaces....again, not quite sure why they couldn't have sent a letter explaining that rather than make us go through the whole long drawn out process.
They make us parents jump through hoops just to try and get the best education for our kids.....they don't seem to understand the whole mix of emotions that goes with it."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
