Morning everyone!! :hello:
I haven't been on in a while, sorry. I wasn't very well yesterday and had to go home from work at 2 o'clock
so didn't feel like posting much last night. Feel a good bit better today and back in work (too much to do to stay off!)
Today I am all bizz cos I am going to get my haircut this evening
Hubby surprised me at the weekend and said he would like to treat me this month to a new haircut and take me out for a special meal tomorrow night!! :j He got his bonus this month and he said that I deserved some treats as I've "been doing so well with my money" Eeeek!! V excited! Not sure where we're going yet, but wherever it is I will have pretty new hair!! Okay, back down to earth - here's my list for today:
- Check online banking
- Transfer money to hubby for mortgage
- Work out budgeting again (I do this about a million times every month)
- Research pension plans (I know how to live, don't I??)
- Bring in lunch from home
- Get hair cut!!!!
- Email Mummy the instructions for getting the train
- Charge phone in work if needed
- Re-work shopping list as might shop in $ainsburys
- Have evening meal from stores (thinking chicken curry OR spaghetti bolognese from freezer)
- Call up about driving lessons
Josie - that's great news about your bike! (The only type of bike I have been on is a scooter when I was about 10 on holiday with my parents! LOL)
OliveOyl - is spring still springing with you?
And a question for all of you - has anyone read any good "thrifty" books. I have reading up on investing, pensions, etc - it's a "Dummies Guide" book and it mentioned a book called "Frugal Living for Dummies", has anybody read it or read any other good ones?
Jo

After my excitement the other day of having paid off the last payment to my old Next account, I've just this morning done a snowball calculator for my CC's & Store Cards and I will be free of these by March 2012 :j
I have a CCJ (Satisfied) due to fall off my credit report at the end of 2011 so I have to say, I'm really pleased knowing I have a light at the end of the tunnel, it's like I can breath a sigh of relief finally, I wish I'd done this a few years ago

Hello
Josie, thanks for the thread! That sounds exciting about your bike.
Nothing v exciting is happening with me - fridge is at 16 degrees now. Boo.
Going to have to arrange for them to come out and fix it. Least I'm getting my money's worth out of the guarantee!
I have totally messed something up at work so don't think I'll be leaving the office on my lunch break - got to fix my mistooks! V MSE all the same = no temptation in the shops! Every cloud…
Also:
· Brought lunch to work
· Free tea in work
· Trying to write down everything I want to buy and resist buying it - if I write it down I can decide later this week if I still really want it…
· Finish my list of 101 things to do in 1001 days
I'll put a link to it on my diary thread too so I remember to update it
· Borrow the car tonight
· Get rid of some junk
· Take a bag to the charity shop
Catch up later tonight peeps!0 -
