mistake by debit card

hi. i have just madea big mistake. i was paying a bill online when i accidentally forgot to change the default amount which happened to be the full balance of my account. i only wamted to pay the minimum payment and have processed the payment for the full balance. i have rung the bank and they say there is nothing they can do. i have to contact the company and hope they agree to give me money back. I wil be absolutely broke without a refund. Any advice PLEEEEEEAAASSSEEE!

Not a lot you can do really, i wouldnt want to risk doing a chargeback either as it may cause a lot more issues.

Contact the person you sent the funds to and ask them to refund the incorrect portion back to you. Its your only option.

Did you select immediate payment? If not then you can amend payments with the online banking (at least with Barclays). Have a look in payments and transfers section.
