I have the HD box and have noticed that not all programmes that everyone else gets on their anytime list are on my box. Say for example I used to get all four of the latest films come up every Friday morning. Now I get one or two and the one I usually want to actually watch never seems to find its way to my anytime.
Just wondering if anyone knows why this is? I know every programme gets repeated at least 750 times but it can be annoying if you want to watch it there and then. By the way I know that anytime updates overnight so I only ever switch the box off a couple of times a week and never on a Thursday/Friday as thats when most good stuff comes on.
Boring question I know but wondered if anyone knew an answer!
Cheers

Do you mean switch off at the mains? If so that is your problem. Programmes actually record in real time from two of the unused box office channels in the early hours. You may not see the film appear until its release on Friday but it could have been recorded days before and stored on your box until its release day. There is no real reason to turn your box off.
Also if you record stuff in the early hours it can effect it as it means only one of the broadcasts can be recorded.0 -

It's not actually me that turns it off, my gf has a thing about switching EVERYTHING off at the mains in case it catches fire, including things like the toaster! I'll make sure she doesn't get her mits on the Sky box from now on/
Thanks for the advice, it really winds me up because sometimes I'll record football highlights or something, then see it's failed because she turns the box off!0
