How to Input Unlock Code to Orange E71

Hi,

I've got an Orange E71 on which the contract expired a while back. I have a Three SIM to put in it. I have applied for an unlock code from a website for £3.50 and am waiting for it to be emailed to me...(if it doesn't arrive soon, I'll ask PayPal to refund it).

Assuming I do get a genuine code, how do I input the code? The Orange SIM card is disconnected, and the phone freezes up and says 'SIM not recognised' if I insert the Three SIM.

Unlock codes usually come in the form of +pw1234567890#

You enter the +,p and w with the * key (2 presses gives the +, 3 the p and 4 the w). Enter it as you would a phone number. When you press the # the phone should reset. After it resets, switch off and put the new sim in and it should work. Check all the number before you press # as you only get 3 chance after that the phone can't be unlocked with a code. . .
