My experience with LG phones is that they look good, have all the features you need, but the build quality isn't the best. Where as HTC may well last you a through a 2 year contract an LG may not last you 2 months.0

I've played with one in the O2 store and a colleague has just bought one on my recommendation. The resistive screen was quite responsive to me, or it could just be me being used to them from previous WinMob phones. The build was pretty sturdy too.
I have a T-Mobile pulse mini which is OK. But if the LG Optimus was out at the same time, I would have bought the LG as it seemed to have better hardware, although stuck on Android 1.6. I noticed O2 are now doing them for £119 on PAYG which is even better value.
I wouldn't hesitate to get one.0 -

would you still say that when comparing the LG 2 htc desire ?? because I am really choosing between those 2 phones
Thanks Callum0 -
The LG isnt in the same league as the Desire, its a nice budget handset, but I'd highly recommend the Desire0

Htc Desire is the better phone and cost 3x as much as the LG. If your budget can extend to the like of the Desire and iPhone then I would consider one of those. But if you're getting into smartphones for the first time then the LG is a good introduction without throwing lots of money into it. If the phones you mention are for a monthly contract then get the best handset you can and avoid budget phones unless the contracts are extremely cheap and worth the long term commitment.0 -

ive had this phone for 2weeks now...
pros:
wi - fi
gps
good battery life (although dont leave wifi or gps on, drains it very quick)
good responsive screen
able to cope with hi res pictures
android market is fab for the apps
very customisable to get it exactly how you want in terms of widgets on home screen etc
cons
camera is only decent in good day light
no flash on camera
can be diffcult to get computer to recognise sd card so you can transfer pics etc, card has to be unmounted etc
but all in all, it doesnt feel like a cheap phone..the only time it doesnt feel like a high spec phone is when your using the camera...if the camera had a decent 5 or 8mp, and flash, this would be my perfect phone...
each to their own though, you may love it or hate it:happyhear0 -
Currently £99.95 + mandatory £10 topup at CPW, and probably unlocked.parallax_20 wrote: »I noticed O2 are now doing them for £119 on PAYG which is even better value.Stompa0 -
