Orange - I would not Recommend to my worst enemy!!

Options
Girlfriend just joined Orange, tried to get through to update her magic number, took over one hour of waiting. Customer "Non" service adviser was not interested... Vodafone are poor at billing but at least they are responsive.

I would not advise joining Orange

    That's my thoughts :(

It was a nightmare to get my number ported.

I've been charged for itemised billing that I didn't ask for. I've spoken to various foreign people who have struggled to understand me. I asked one to take the itemised billing off, but she took the data bundle off that I had ordered and wanted to keep instead

All I want to pay for is the basic line rental and the data bundle, but I keep getting other things added on like picture message bundles which I don't want and I'll never use
Here I go again on my own....

They also managed to !!!! up my port - Well they just forgot to do it!! They did refund me £15 for this as i was out of pocket paying both Orange & Vodafone.

Also when i got through last night eventually at midnight (so tired now!!) i had a bit of a moan about the 87 minutes and they agreed to take £10 of my bill.

But i would rather just be able to pick up the phone and speak to them within 5 minutes. Do get me wrong Vodafone were not perfect, but you could always get through to them within 5 minutes. I enquired about terminating my contract last night - they advised me i would have to pay £450:eek: I thought maybe the cost of the handset and i would happily pay that to get out - but not £450

    Hard lesson learned me thinks!!

my friend was on hold with orange for 7 hours - i'd have given up at 7 mins
  • I hate Orange, and would never touch them again! Their customer service is the worst experienced. I've dealt with their executive office in the past, if you want the email address, private me. The exec office are great at solving complaints.

    Wow!! That's extraordinary!!!

I've only had fast, efficient service so I can't relate to your experiences.

Mind you, if I did ... I'd be tempted to change too! ;)

You should have been sent a letter with regard to them now charging for itemised billing. This was added automatically unless you sent them a text message stating "BILL" to a certain number which i cant for the life of me remember, perhaps if you searched their site you could find the number and that would solve that problem for you instantly rather than holding to them on the phone.

As for Orange, i was with them for 6 years and spent a good amount of money. I finally got annoyed with the fact that they always kept me on hold, offered me rubbish upgrades and deals at the end of my current contract and started billing for everything and anything. I got rid of them 2 months ago for O2 and the difference in service is plain to see. Orange are awful
  • i don't mind Orange, been with them years.
Upgraded my handset last week and it developed a fault at the weekend. Customer services are always busy but there's no way i'd hold for that long. I just keep retrying when i get chance.

    I never got a letter.

I said in my order that I didn't require it as it said there was a £1.50 charge, but they ignored my request and charged me anyway. Same as this picture message bundle that I didn't order, but it was added to my first and now it keeps getting took off and put back on again when I ring up  I think the foreign telephone people don't understand what the different bundles are?

My 2nd bill is due shortly, so I'm going to see what charges on that, then send a recorded delivery letter stating exactly what I do want to pay for and state they must remove everything else. If they've got it clearly in black and white, presumably they can understand it!
Here I go again on my own....
