Norton or Mcafee ???

Forget either. They are both resource hungry and, in my experience, nothing better than a host of free AV programs out there.
I use Antivir, free, and very competent.0 -

use both myself if thats any recommendation
Can definately agree with the AVG. The fact that its free is an added bonus. I always use Amazon to gauge performance and the horror stories you read mean I will never touch the likes of Mcafee every again0 -
Neither -- I would recommend -- ZoneLabs Internet Security Suite or NOD32 or Kaspersky.
Not well known I agree --- but just look at reviews.
I use ZA -- superb -- very low CPU usage -- fantastic0 -
I'd certainly say NEITHER. They're both too gimmicky in my opinion. Kaspersky ROCKS. Top notch antivirus..0

however, if ur lookin for a free alternative, as others have said, AVG is much better than Norton/Mcafee, but not as good as Kaspersky in my opinion.0
