Hi all,
Looking for some advice, i just bought and installed Norton internet security 2006, i had 2004 and 2005 and they both worked perfectly but this one keeps crashing my computer
... as soon as i turn it on its at 100% CPU usage for about 20 mins and then if it dont sort itself out it just crashes
can anyone help? Has this happened to anyone else?
Also ... is Mcafee any good, bcos i was looking at it on Amazon and its got really bad reviews too!!
I only was to protect my comp!!
Thanks x

could be worth trying this official Norton removal tool
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039
then trying a re-install of the 2006 version. It could be clashing with bits of the old versions and causing the problemsEx forum ambassador

Once i bought the new one people did say that they had problems especially if that hadnt uninstalled it first ... so i did that but i still got problems
... i will try that thanks ... i was wondering do you know, if i install an older version again ... will it still work properly as i still have them ??
Thanks x0 -
the licence will have expired on them,
did you use that tool or Add/Remove programs , it does remove all the bits of the program whereas Add/Remove does not always
give that a try and then come backEx forum ambassador

Go for Norton. You can get a full "honest" copy 2006 from EBay for about £14
