iPhone package price issue
Hello.
I was one of the 3 customers who was in their upgrade window and so took up the iPhone 4 offer. I've just got my letter through confirming the new contract. However, there is something I'm a little annoyed with.
Details say:
Your contract
start date - XX
term - 24 months
end date - XX
Your package
Package - Internet texter 500
Cost - £35
Allowance - 500 Uk voice minutes, 5000 UK texts, 1GB Internet and 5000 3-3 Uk minutes plus 150 UK picture Mail
Monthly Discounts
£5 Loyaltly Discount (Retention)
So, basically I had gone for the £30 tariff, but it is showing up as £35 then £5 discount. This on the face of it feels somewhat dishonest to me, as there was no mentoin of a loyalty discount when I took up the tafiff, which was said to be £30 (not the £35 as it is seemingly indicated). Also, the £30 tariff is available to new customers, so why was it £35 and then a £5 loyalty discount? Is there a case for arguing that if they are applying a discount it should be £30-£5 = £25??
The only thing which also looks to be strange was the '150 UK picture Mail', which I didn't see any mention of on any of the intial information, and which I wouldn't want/need anyway.
So, anyone else have this, or have any comments?
Cheers

hi
that's the same as my hubby got with 3 although they never mentioned the £5 loyalty discount
but they did mention the 150 picture emails we will definitely be using them as we have a baby due in two weeks :j
his is due to turn up tomorrow and i cant wait to play with it0 -
Apart from the picture mail (something I, too, was unaware of) that looks like the standard £30 contract to me. It does appear misleading. I wouldn't be surprised if the same £5 discount is shown on the confirmation emails of new customers as "introductory".If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

Thanks. I may just call in the shop if I'm passing - rather than ring the call centre to see what they say...0

Is "picture mail" 3's weird code for MMS? The iPhone makes attaching photos to emails very easy, so you should be able to send as many photos as you want by email jo78! (Although MMS is handy for sending to people who don't have email access on their phones, so it's good if you're getting a bundle of inclusive MMS too).0
