Euro vs. Sterling rate - up or down??

I need to change some Sterling to Euros for a trip to Ireland in two weeks. At the moment the euro rate is relatively good compared to what is has been. It rose towards the end of June to nearly 1.2 and now its at 1.161. The last couple of days I have been monitoring it and it is creeping up again slowly but I'm undecided whether to change my money now at a reasonable rate or leave it and see what happens. Is there anyone who knows about this type of thing who can give a forecast of what it's going to do? I know nothing is certain but if it looks set to rise slowly I would just hang on.
Thanks is advance

1.19 at present (9.27am) if you have a Fairfx card0 -
You never know what is happening with currencies in the short term. If you like the rate, just get it. That said, I do not think too much will change in two weeks, Euro-Pound exchange rate seems to be "stable" now around 1.20.0

So if spending money is £150, that's 6euros, hardly worth worrying about really.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Do you fancy giving me a fiver? How about setting up to donate 3% of your salary to go to my bank account?
I really can't understand not caring about money!Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0 -
Lauren, try looking at http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=GBPEUR=X&t=5d&l=off&z=m&q=l&c=
Also ex-pats living in Spain say that the rate is better at the weekends, so consider that.Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0
