Thanks for all of your replies guys.

I've had a good look at the Circulon ones after the reply earlier and have found a set of 5 Stainless Steel Elite ones for £89.99 free del.

I will still look at other options too.

    Hi

I've got those pans and they are brill on induction hobs. I've also have a Judge milk pan that I use for porridge. The non-stick is fantastic and any burnt bits come out in one piece. :)

  • So expensive I have never told my husband what I paid but my Woll pans are worth every penny.

I bought them as a present to myself from (I hate to admit this) a shopping channel.

The are just so good, they cook beautifully and are so easy to clean even when I burn things on (I'm REALLY good at that bit).

Because you can take the handles off you can use them in the oven as well as on the hob and I use them for roasting and as casserole dishes.
I've had mine several years and they still look as good as new.

I cook most things from scratch and my big two handled stock pot never gets put in the cupboard, I use it every day.

Mind you DH did get a bit suspicious when he noticed Delia and Nigella had pans like mine.

If you can ever run to them you'll never regret it.

    Hi Pocketlady,

This thread has lots of recommendations that may help:

    which saucepans to buy?

I'll add your thread to it later to keep the suggestions together.

It has to be LeCreuset for pots, a good investment.

Yes, but they are ridiculously expensive. Even on ebay they can go for a small fortune, but there are some good bargains there as I write this. They are absolutely brilliant for cooking as they retain the heat very well and can go in the oven without harm. My mum has acquired enough over the years through jumble sales. We have been so lucky!

If I had tonnes of money I would buy Le Creuset. They are brilliant and look so lovely too! We just have bog standard stainless steel pans which have been going strong for nearly ten years. They have all been well used and a couple have boiled dry but come up nicely with a metal scourer. No coatings to get scratched either.

Le creuset are brilliant but there are cheaper enamelled cast iron pans out there like Chasseur. They're about half the price and sometimes they pop up in TK Maxx too.
  • I bought my saucepans from Asda, I think they are the George make ones. They were around £15-£20 each. They have a non-stick coating that doesn't flake off, you can even use metal implements on them to no adverse effect and they have metal handles so can go into the oven if need be.

I got a saute pan from Tesco's for around £20 as well, their own make, which has lasted years and is brill!
    Never say never
