Toilet Overflow dripping again

Some months back they overflow pipe was dripping outside back door and I got a new ballcock fitted from b and q and it solved the problem.
Now all of a sudden its started again. It drips for ages then stops then starts again and now its making my back wall damp and the pebble dash is coming off.
How do I adjust this. I put it perfect last time. It seems worse this time.

It might just need to be adjusted so when the ball !!!! rises it cuts the water off below the overflow.0

Put a picture up & I can help you.
If it a metal arm you bend it.
If its plastic arm you move the pins in it or sometimes have to cut it.
But there is also a small grub screw that might need moving & you need to make sure the arm or the ball do not touch anything on the way up or down.....Not Again0 -

Hi,
Flush the loo and hold the arm up after.
Where does it drip from?
Might be a loose union (tighten) or dirt on the washer (strip down and clean.)
Use the lock nut on the adjustment and it won't adjust itself after.

There should be a horizontal line cut into the wall of the cistern. This is the level at which the water should rise to and then be cut-off by the valve. Use the adjusting nut to achieve this level. If the water does not cut-off cleanly, then the washer needs replacing or the ball valve needs replacing. See www.screwfix.com part number 88427 for side entry or 52836 for bottom entry.
The top of the overflow pipe should then be about 20mm above this.
If you are constantly getting dirt on the washer, it maybe sediment in your water supply. Fitting a 25 micron filter would get rid of this part number 20315.0 -
The water level is reaching the overflow every day. Its already had a new arm and ballcock. the leve is always at the pipe.
I have tried to adjust the nut up and down screwing along the thread and away from the thread. Makes no difference.
It drips from the overflow pipe outside onto the yard leaving a trail fo water throughout the day.
The tap in the tank is not dripping its just it fills to the level of the top of pipe then overflows.
it was fine when I refitted with new arm and ball !!!! but same thing happening again.Mortgage Free 2016Work Part Time:DHouse Hunting In France 20230 -
If you flush and then hold up the ballcock does the cistern still fill? If so then the valve isn't shutting off. If the valve comes apart - shut off the water then take is apart and give it a good clean. If that doesn't work then replace it.0

I think the nut you are moving is the locknut. You need to rotate the threaded part or bolt head adjacent to the valve.0

Did you remember to put the rubber washer in it?
There is always the chance of the new valve being faulty, or otherwise the arm/float is catching and not closing the valve.0
