Well done on killing-off that little plastic menace in time for Chrimbo.
I guess as your target for your house deposit is only £20k, you must live up north. Down here in North Essex, it would buy 25% of my flat, or half a house if you wanted to live in Jaywick.

    Thanks Patman
I'm in Edinburgh so that will hopefully be a 15% to 20% deposit or more
    for a house or flat

If you are OK about a bit of DIY, then there is always the auction route, although I would advise that you attend at least 2 property auctions to see how they function.

As my last money post said I have paid off already what I spent in the sales from my Pink Friend - I sorted my Sealed Pot money that I have not really touched until now and my £1 and £2 coins - A grand total of £184 between them and banked, bank lady loved me this morning :D:D

Only 2 more days left of 2010 then its full saving steam ahead for 2011 and bigger steps towards being a house owner! :T

Babysitting at the moment, BUT my NYE canceled today  However I have a day time booking for babysitting on NYE in its place but less money, looks like a quiet NYE for me and a New Year midnight New Diary!! :j

  • Went shopping with my mum today :)
    I bought the following
    2x aftershave sets - £18.00 (2 more pressie's for 2011 sorted)
Should have paid £7.50 for a science experiment kit from Sainsury's - I say SHOULD HAVE because I walked out without paying
I know I know - I'm a BAD person, I had the box by the handle walking round the shop, my mum had a basket with the food shopping in it, I forgot I was holding it as we got to the check out and only realized what I had done when we were loading the car up - I was too embarrassed to go back in and admit what I had done :embarasse

I also bought a set of 3 partylite tealight holders for £5.99 from ebay for another friends Christmas 2011 - used money from paypal for that :)
