You will not get more channels, you will get some different channels.
  • You won't get more, you'll get less overall.

The channel line up is slightly different. With Freeview you'll get Dave, Virgin 1 and a couple of others that aren't on the FreesatFromSky list.

Edit - Beaten to it. :)
    Dave.

What is it you feel you need to see that it encouraging you to spend money?

Are the ex Sky boxes not sufficient?

Do you get decent Freeview reception?

Ok - do not rely on the post code checker though. It is a bit of a blunt tool.

See if you can borrow a box from a friend and see what you actually receive

  • Freeview is beginning to offer a better service. You can now subscribe to premium services from Sky Sports 1,2 to ESPN as long as you have a card slot in your freeview equipment. It may be worth spending a bit extra on the box to get this facility to safe guard any future upgrades you may want to make to your viewing.

I actually seem to be getting less channels from my freeview box lately, despite 'adding new channels' and 'new installation'. I don't seem to get Dave or Dave ja vue. It seems to skip Dave channel totally (channel 19 I think). Signal strength good on most channels.

I'll try re-tuning again in about a week's time again.
