Top up tv - sky sports 1 + 2

Anyone know how much Sky Sports is going to be on Top Up ??
Just out of contract period with Sky and thinking of dumping Sky Sports package. Doesn't appear to show how much on web site.

So its £20 per month WITHOUT ESPN????
  • Its £40 per month for Sky Sport 1, 2 & ESPN. You get the 1st month free.

I'm considering getting top up tv myself.
  • £40/month seems very overpriced for Top up Tv. You could subscribe to Sky for that amount.

Beat me to it ! I'm only paying £37 pm to Sky now inc Sports so Top Up isn't at all attractive at £40!!
  • It's a shame that the price can't be lower on Top Up TV, but Sky Sports 1,2 and ESPN on Sky are £45, and you're tied into a 12 month contract. At least with Top Up you can cancel at no cost for the end of the season and come back when it starts again. Besides, BT and Sky are very overpriced for their broadband and phone so I think I'm going to unbundle everything to make some savings that way.

I'm going to give top up tv a call later.

The £20 connection is going to be a no no if i agree to have it.

Might cancel ESPN after the 1st month.
  • I gave them a call. Waited 20 minutes on hold so i hung up.

I then emailed them with what package i wanted.

I got an email back saying " sorry you are cancelling"
  • Im having massive issues with their customer service...sorry lack of it - will be typing up a full complaint email, as ive tried 3 times to talk to a manager - and no joy yet!!!

Please steer clear people! I'll copy my complaint to here later

I phoned twice to try to cancel ESPN and was kept on hold forever. I then emailed giving one month's notice and advising that cancelling by phone as requested was not possible. I got an email response the same day asking me to call a direct number to cancel. Tried that and it went straight back to the call centre queue again! So I sent another email insisting that they phone me-no response.
The next day the phone rings-it's Top UP TV, but this time trying to sell me overpriced Sky Sports! So I grabbed my chance and insisted that she process my cancellation instead. She wasn't happy about it but did so. One month's notice given and the DD left open to collect the final payment. 2 days later I was channel hopping-and found they'd already cut me off!
As other posters have said, their CS has gone right downhill recently, it used to be very good and you always got through quickly. I'm guessing they're swamped with enquiries relating to Sky Sports at present.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
