When I try to fill in the MSE motor insurance quote - it asks me what my occupation is - I put "unemployed" - it then asks me what my employers business is - what do I put ?
I tried "unemployed" - I tried "n/a" - nothing works !!!
Any ideas ?

Don't know the answer to this but you could try "not in employment".0

Thanks - I used "HOUSEHUSPAND" and it accepted this - without needing an "employer" !!0

Househusband is not the correct occupation if you are receiving JSA, if you have a claim you could have problems0

Who says I am on JSA
Anyway - what is a "househusband" - the form allows this as an option .....0 -
what is a "househusband"
A father who decides to stay at home as a choice to look after the family. (i.e. not claiming any job related benefits or any earned income).Who says I am on JSA
You hinted at it by saying you were using "unemployed". So dacouch sensibly pointed out that if you were unemployed, that putting in househusband is incorrect and could result in a claim being rejected or adjusted.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). 21Twinkle here is a recent poster who did not declare he was unemployed and has recently had an accident.

Thanks for that link - which doesn't exactly help me with the original problem - what do I put down for my occupation ?
ps I am on ESA not JSA !!!0 -
You put down that you are unemployed. You dont need to put anything else in (i.e. leave info about employer blank)I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
