  • Miss P, you have my sympathies.
DB, sounds like you have experienced Splashdown....!

Aah DC - yes that was it I'd forgotten the name! Kids loved it. Not me though :(

Jo - Oh no - I was quite jealous. I improvised a prawn thing as DSs are at Dad's but it was yuk. Woud have earned me 1/10 on CDWM.

Given up putting the kids to bed, they won't go :undecided

Basically, told OH that he should come with us to the carvery as he was ridiculously hungover and going out again tonight so I thought he needed to eat properly (I'm very glad he came as you'll find out). Rung up dear ole mummy and said I'll be there in 15 minutes. We stopped at Mr Ts so I could go to the cashpoint, stuck my card in and it retained the card  suddenly the heavens opened and started raining sideways so sat in the car with the 2 kids bickering in the back trying to ring the bank, held on for 10 minutes and got cut off  rang dear ole mummy and said it's off :( she had no food in :( couldn't drive the car anywhere cos it'd steamed up and wouldn't clear so had to sit there waiting for the rain to stop before I could open the windows. THANKFULLY OH said let's go to macdonalds and get the kids some dinner as he had a spare £10 (although they didn't stop crying because Toby Carvery is the 'best restaurant in the world' and mummy had 'promised' :() had McDs, dropped OH at station and got home, rung bank again and it turns out they'd sent me a new card and 25 days later the old one gets cancelled and I hadn't started using the new one yet :o rung up dear ole mummy and she was half way through beans on toast :(

Pished off (very relieved about the card though!)

  • Hugs Jo how rotten for you after looking forward to it so much.
I'm also glad it is just a new card and nothing worse.
