I failed the challenge last night - so glad I'm not the only one!! I NEVER drink during the week any more, but last night we went out for family meal to celebrate the amazing A level and GCSE results. I knew I had work today, but didn't let that bother me - for the first time ever in this job! Something to do with the fact that I knew I'm giving in my notice tomorrow, I think! I'm going to try for an AF weekend though or else I'll completely miss my 20 day target for this month!
Bi for now

VERY tempted for a glass of wine tonight, but resisted as I knew I'd put it up here! So, it IS motivational. Thanks all!
4 AF in a row for me..... but as it's a Bank Holiday, it's probably 4 drinking days next....0 -

Yes, they do as I barely noticed you in there at all:rotfl:
It feels lovely to be back
Narry an AF day over here & lots of ex Mr HB related sadness. However I am slowly emerging from my wallowing pit & facing the world, which I think is why I feel uber-fragile right now.
Anyhoo, well done to exam peeps/families :T
Am for some reading & earlyish night over in Bear Towers
Be safe, all

Evening all!
Welcome back HB!!! :j
SOS - Don't blame you for celebrating exam results!!!
Sad day here as was Piglets last day at nursery. He came home with his folder of his progress through the last few years. Was lovely to read as had photos on of him plus progress reports which show he's gone from a shy, retiring, non communicative (he had speech issues) toddler to an outgoing, friendly, active, vocal (tell me about it!!:rotfl:) young boy. Made me cry. In a good way.:o
Its a week for "lasts". Tomorrow is my last time of cleaning for my brother and SIL. Can't say as I'm too sorry but I will miss the money. Just can't fit it all in around Piglets school hours.
So, its all change here. Did just occur to me to wonder if I'll still be on here in years to come announcing Piglet going to senior school....college...getting married...:rotfl::rotfl:
Anyways, off up the apples and pears. Both me and OH are shattered tonight. End of the week feeling I think.
Miss P

Hi all,
Jo - didn't manage last night but AF tonight. Thanks for running the challenge. I have updated scores and will post tomorrow.
Not doing too well here and feeling very low and anxious about all sorts of things so will scoot off and not lower the tone too much!
Hope you are wll well.

Good Evening guys.
Hope this finds you all happy and healthy.
Bit flat here, but sober all the same.
Jobhunting every day, and as I didn't hear back from the job last week, I've applied for another one
My alcohol support worker is visiting me at home next week, with the forms for applying to rehab. I'm looking forward to seeing her.
To be honest my priority is finding a job asap, possibly more so than even rehab.
I realise some on here / in AA would say it should be the other way around, but I'd rather change my focus, than go to meetings and concentrate on 'not drinking' the whole time. This always resulted me in wanting to go to the pub even more!
I'm even considering going for Christmas work in the supermarkets - anything to help bring some money in, and keep me busy.
Having made a list of bills that need to be paid tomorrow (as well as the Money Shop loan extension fee..), I really need a job!
Am still able to smile though, and I'm sober - 19 days now
Night night, sleep tight all,
