Oh well...... I decided to make the most of the window cleaner spoiling my NSD plans (which saw a £21 spend to stop him spoiling another NSD until October at the earliest), and have had a spendy day instead !!!
After he'd been paid I wandered down to work to see if my loaf of bread (from last nights Whoopsies) was waiting for me - which it was, and (despite my reservations) very yummy it is too :T
On the way I called into B'n'M and picked up some chocolate chips (made Raisin Twinks yesterday, which had DS complaining there weren't enough raisins in them and requesting some choc chip ones!) Also picked up some dried Mango (for another version of Twinks) and some Morning Detox t-bags (herbals I quite like, and cheap enough to get in for a change @ 39p for a box of 20) - so £1.30 of my £1.70 spend is down to Twinks!
While getting my bread at work I also picked up some more milk (would have needed on Sunday/Monday anyway, both of which are planned to be NSDs and the offer on the milk ends this Sunday I think), some Bicarb of Soda (for Twinks - realised last night that the expiry date on mine was 2004!), some ground almonds (almond and cherry Twinks), chopped nuts (Twinks) and stem ginger in syrup (Twinks).
One guess who I'm blaming for the majority of that bill (£4.30 of £5.50!)
On my way out of work tonight I remembered I hadn't picked up any "normal" bread (on offer at 30p/loaf) or eggs, so picked those up (£2.40)
After my outing with the running club (my leg is now telling me it hadn't had a long enough recovery period before trying another run) I bobbed by Mr T to fill the fuel tank of the car (£34.20) as I doubted I had enough liquid gold to get me to OHs tomorrow night followed by (on Saturday) to his branch of the gym for a swim, then to DDs, then for the day out with her and GDs, then home again - and if I made that on what I had I doubt I'd have had enough fumes left until my next D/Debit day, which should be Tuesday, if I go to the gym on Sunday morning or Monday evening
Then a nip through work to check out the Whoopsies, which netted me
a pack of BBQ chicken fillets [strike]£3[/strike] 59p - in fridge, as will have these with chips for tea tomorrow before heading off to OHs
a salmon steak [strike]£1.16[/strike] 39p - now in the freezer (prefer fillets, but at that price I guess I can handle the bones)
2 pouches of Mango Sauce [strike]60p[/strike] 19p each (bbe Nov)
6 pouches of Ginger Sauce [strike]60p[/strike] 19p each (bbe Nov)
2 treacle tarts (the plate sized ones) [strike]£1.79[/strike] 29p each
and I picked up a cucumber I need for Tuesday (omelette and salad - have all the other salad bits, plus the eggs I picked up earlier, but forgot this after work despite trying to remember what I'd realised during the afternoon I'd forgotten in the morning!)
so a total spend in work this evening (after staff discount and odd pennies go into my sealed pot) of £3.90
So much for putting 20p to one side last night for my Chilli and Mango loaf in order to keep today as an NSDCheryl0 -
mrsinvisible wrote: »So p l e a s e can I count paying him today as the money is in an envelope waiting, and if he'd said he wasnt coming today I wouldnt have gone shopping either?
I think that would count as him being paid, it's not your fault that he's not come to collect the money.
Kath - hope you are doing ok and taking each day as it comes. Big hugs from me and my furry kit Skippy (well actually, she doesn't do hugs but I forced one from her just for you)
Jinty - hope your two are still on the mend and not left you anything icky to clear up.
Well no NSD for me today, but I knew I had to get petrol tonight so also got some bits in town
99p shop - descaler (live in the south east and water is rock hard), cereal bars (nearly as many calories as a choc bar), and two tins of John West Tuna mayo (for sarnie emergencies!)
Tesco - New Ariel stain remover Gel £2.50 (was £4.50 but had a voucher) - OH is forever dropping pasta down his t-shirts then leaving them in the wash basket for me to try and tackle after the stain has dried in for a week or so, and some Finest Ham £2.00 - cos I try to buy British, no added water, Outdoor bred happy piggies rather than reformed EU stuff (unless its the end of the month and then I admit, sometimes its Value Ham for sarnies)
Market - £2 for lb of cherries....nearly all gone - yummy!!
Petrol tonight - £20.10
Evening started off well as I came home to my £20 O2 Goals cheuqe, then went downhill when I badly kerbed one of my wheels, which I admit, wasn't perfect but wasn't as bad as it now is. Thinking it might be a call to Chips Away to get a fix it quote - think its about £200 for all 4 wheels  can I justify it????
I was thiking, do NSD encourage me to spend more or less on the days that I am allowed to spend? Today I think I did ok, getting a few bits, but I am sure I will have the urge to get over excited when I decide I can spend, and end up spending more. Of course, the trick I guess is only take out a set amount of cash. What's your opinion fellow NSDers?Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I'd love to have our doglet up beside us at night, but he's a wriggler and takes over the whole bed. When we're away on hols he gets to sleep with us and we end up on each edge of the bed while His Majesty has all of the middle and the lions share of the duvet. Who says its a dog's life?:rotfl:
My cat used to be like that, jinty, it's surprising how much space a fairly small cat can expand into when lying on its back with all four limbs spread outwards and snoring blissfully..... with its two humans perched either side on each edge of the bed:rotfl:The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

A very warm welcome to all our newbies signing up this month, new people are always welcome to join, we’re a a very friendly, if slightly insane, bunch and a surreal sense of humour definitely helps. We are, however, very serious in our aim to cut down on our spending and are happy to give advice/tips/hints so please ask if you’re not sure about anything. Everyone seems to have more success if they post regularly on here and join in the chat - not sure why, but it seems to work, so please feel free to join in

Good morning all,
I'm pleased to report NSD # 4!
Didnt go out at all yesterday, just wasnt in the right mood yesterday at all. It was a " stop the world, I want to get off day"!:(
Today I feel back to my usual self.:)
OH had a word with the neighbour re the parking and tooting of horns. Turns out the neighbour had got an anonymous letter complaining about his behaviour and he automatically thought it was us, re the harrasment. OH put him straight in no uncertain terms so I'm happy that's sorted:) I wouldnt dream of doing that to anyone - if I've got something to say, I'll say it to the person directly, IFYKWIM.
Today I've got some small spends, groceries, wrapping paper. I also need to go to the library.
My sister and BIL have invited us all out for dinner tonight for their Silver Wedding so I'm looking forward to that very much! It's all the family and a couple of close friends so should be a good night. Im going to get a new nail polish and do my toes for my new sandals.
Just want to say thanks for all the support and for putting up with all the rants recently - its been a bit trying to say the least! Never mind I've got my MoJo back!:D
Have a lovely day everyone:)
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -

In fact I could do with something grazing on it before I get my mower back out....
Over the last couple of weeks we've had that much rain (not too much at a time, but too regularly to let it dry out between showers/downpours), that my back lawn is back going a 'due the first mow of the season' impression :eek:Cheryl0
