Am now eyeing up the 4 joints I have taking up space, and wondering how much space I can free up by cooking, slicing, and bagging them into individual portions before returning them to the freezers fool3.gif

I'm guessing it should free up quite a bit of room, especially as the three turkey ones (they're 700-750g) are all wierd shapes (very wide one end and narrow the other) and the pork one (1.75kg) is still on the tray the butchers put it on to pack it.......
I defrosted the 3 turkey joints yesterday, and left them cooking while I was at Jinty's party last night.

Today I've sliced them up and parcelled them up into portions - 2 portions used tonight, 12 portions back in the freezer (in the space previously used by just one of the joints :T), and the odd bits left (which made up a half portion) went into a granary roll for my lunch :)

Just need to tackle the pork joint next weekend now.....

  • No new no spend days to report. Have been a very good girl tonight as was going to get a Dominos pizza, went all the way through to the enter card details before closing the site down.

Will set target of 12 again for next month as it will be much easier when the boys go back to school.

Evening all! Just been catching up on the fun and games from last night. Sounds like i missed a great evening. We ended up having drinks with friends last night and I have been feeling VERY fragile today...:o:o

Am having second thoughts about the boots from yesterday, think i should have got the size 4 so might pop and get them tomorrow and try them on at home. spoke to my friend today, she went to the store near her today and bought the same towels I was coverting yesterday :rotfl::rotfl:

Now, one upside to me feeling so awful today is that i FINALL have NSD #12 :j:j:j Might make another one on Tues (need to get sarnie stuff tomorrow for back to work) but am pleased that I managed double figures on my first NSD month.

Spoony, if we're putting in our Sept targets now, can you put me down for 12. I'm not sure how close I'll get as its a busy b'day month but we'll see....

    :hello:

Big hello to all the lovely NSD'ers

Has a lovely day thanks Spoon :D. Followed a mate along the horrid A45 which wasn't too bad, took a wrong turning at a roundabout but they came and rescued me :rotfl:. Rained on the way there but the sun came out for the afternoon :D had a good girly chat with a couple of friends from Cambridge while watching others play rounders. managed not to spend anything too :D taking me to 15. Mind you I don't know if we were supposed to have paid in the car park 'cos someone mentioned it when we were leaving but neither my mate nor I had and nothing untoward had happened to the cars (which was a relief:cool:)
must brush up on making coffee for a flask though.........I had misjudged a bit and it was very strong  Might just put water in the flask next time and take the coffee seperate :rotfl:

Made the most of the fact it wasn't raining when I got back and managed to deliver more envelopes. which is good as they must be finished tomorrow :) which at least means I'll be busy so might get another NSD in.

Hope you feel better soon Webitha

    hugs to everyone xxxx

    See you tomorrow

Spendy Sunday for me - did a car boot and took just over £100 but bought fruit, eggs, and gammon - oh and a notice board for my kitchen wall for 50p - it was just what I was looking for :j perfect !

Might pop out to look around the Bank Holiday car boot tomorrow but might just have a lie in instead - will have to wait and see ;) - but I do need Monday and Tuesday to make my revised revised target
    :( Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12 :( 3Dogs'Mam 31-3-13 :(
