Santander Telephone Banking

Hi I have recently moved my current account from Halifax to Santander however everytime I ring the telephone banking number I am prompted to enter my cards 16 digit number, which I do but it keeps saying its not recognised!!!!! I spoke to the Santander customer service rep when I got through about it and she said its been happening ever since the merge of the banks!!!
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Im tempted to make an official complaint.

Hahahaha.
I like it.
I knew I would be letting myself in for this sort of incompetence from Santander before I joined but the £100 was too much to resist!0
