Help/ Advice needed

Hi
I am currently on a 3 contract and renewed back in May for 2 years. I got a new Sony Ericsson Vivaz with my contract. From day 1 it was freezing when doing certain things and I kept saying I should take it back to the shop. The final straw came in June when one day the battery went flat and I couldn't recharge it. I took it into the shop and a week later I had a new replacement model. Got it home charged up lo and behold it is freezing again!! I took it back to the shop last Sunday and I am expecting it back sometime this week. I have since looked on the internet and it seems to be a common problem with the vivaz. Now I know that it has a warranty for 2 years but quite frankly it is very inconvenient for me to be taking the phone back to the shop every couple of weeks and actually using my old phone more than my 'new' one. Can someone tell me if I have any rights to changing the phone now I have a contract? or do I have to just stick with taking the phone back to the shop every time it isn't working?
I hope someone out there can help me with this.
Thank you in advance
Ruth

You could go direct to Sony Ericsson ...
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/common/contact?cc=gb&lc=en
You will have to contact them above, explain problem, send phone away (usually free). Mind if they find no problem, you will have to pay £10-£20 p&p to get it back I think.0 -
My issue is can I change the phone now I am in contract as it appears there are many people having the same issues with their phones. Not wanting to get mine repaired all the time, or even replaced as last time my phone was replaced and still having issues. Anyone done this in the past??0

No is the answer unless they find they cannot repair it any more and have to replace it. If they fail 4 or 5 times to repair it, then you can start demanding a replacement. Going to SE direct might result in a quicker offer a replacement than via 3 (just my thinking). Either that or start making some formal written complaints to 3 and maybe you will get lucky.0 -
Thank you, I have already had one replacement waiting to see what happens with that one. It seems there are a lot of problems with that particular phone and just wondering whether I will actually get one that works!!!0
