home-made cake vs shop bought?

    Definitely homemade. My older son has an allergy to milk. ALL the shop made cakes in say Tesco or Asda have milk products in them, so none of them for him:mad:

    Same here - severe milk allergy and the dairy free stuff is so expensive :eek:

    So we've switched to homemade, has been working out much cheaper and I have more variety - plus no-one else notices the marg/milk alternatives when it's in cooking :D

  • I honestly think HM are cheaper (if you get the cheapest flour and butter!) unless you get the shop ones very reduced or BOGOF........;)
