It's a great base for a curry Sal - just add extras to it to get it how you like it. It's lovely if you condense it down and use it as a dipping sauce for chips too

Right I might just try it...although I normally just use tomatoes and spices on my own. I love chickpea curry

I use the Smartpice 8p (sometimes 16p) Curry sauce for OH's dinner. I tart it up with stuff like chillies, sometimes coconut milk. Tastes more like a chinese curry sauce than indian but it is fine. I checked out the ingredients with it being so cheap and it is basically a lot of water with some spices but does the job if you want a mild chinese tasting sauce for pennies.

For 8p it's worth a go Sal - works out far cheaper than using tinned or fresh tomatoes."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0

remember I went for the interview and didn't get it? And the 'other opportunity' I was told about? I was 'strongly advised' to apply for it and he was going to chat to the manager. Well, I applied for the job and the closing date was 13 August with interview on 28th. The job has disappeared from the website
