Wow, just finished watching the programme about the Tsunami. Very, very moving - cried all the way through. You can't understand or imagine it just by hearing about it on the news, but seeing this programme has given a good insight to the utter devestation, not only to the Countries but to the people involved.OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

It's that couple that always get me Tenmah, the ones who lost the 5 year old girl, Isabella. I just think they are so beautiful in how they try to describe it and how they try to cope. I need to do a will and put some of the things I care about in it.

I agree Butti - at first I thought she must have survived but realised very quickly that she hadn't. How does anyone get over something like that, the guilt that you have survived and the guilt that you couldn't save her. Ah the Malverns Sammy - not been for a walk over there for years!!! Must take the kids sometime......
Up early with DD as usual - now watching kids telly & trying to muster up some motivation to at least start my ironing......what an exciting life I lead!! DS1 has got football this morning & is then going into town with my brother for a b'day treat.....he's SO excited about it!
Ok - jobs for today:
1. Tackle ironing mountain
2. Get DS's b'day cards/wrapping paper
3. Washing
4. Clear out DS' wardrobe
5. Swish & swipe bathroom
6. Vacuum through the house
Better get moving.....DD has just spilt a bowl of cereal (dry luckily) all over the floor......

I'm going to test the bath repair out shortly with a shower - wish me luck!
Going for the exercise class this morning and a run afterwards I think. Then it's more tiling and tidying. Today I get to cut tiles :j (sarcastic smiley) although I have to say seeing the bathroom improving is satisfying. It's just I'm getting to the section where I think it's more the tiles holding the wall up than the other way round.
Might see if I've got any time to fit in gardening this afternoon.

Morning all
Woke up durning the night with a sore thoat and can hardly swallow today - fun! Not!
Got the ironing pile to tackle and need to do a bit of tidying as we've got a landlords inspection tomorrow.
Everyone else is still asleep so I'm off to enjoy the bathroom without the constant knock of "will you be long..."
Not sure what's for dinner but it needs to involve the last of my home grown potatoes and more runner beans as they need picking."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Morning all :hello:
I'm just about to make some breakfast and then I may be able to fit in a quick trip to Bookers before The Archers catch up on R4
If it stays fine, I'm hoping to visit a local allotments open day. A friend has his allotment on the site and he often sends me food parcels, so I'll go and support and no doubt buy some home grown produce.
Success story of the week, I made a New York style baked cheesecake....it has gone down a storm. I took some in to work yesterday morning and gave a piece to one of the customers....it was almost a When Harry Met Sally moment

I'll never be able to look at him in the same way again.
It was really easy to make, I'll try and post the link later.....think I'll be buying the ingredients again this week.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
