Keep in mind that the Live CD that you now have will allow you to use your PC and to browse the web and lots more things, while running from your CD drive only.
It will not change your hard drive (Windows) installation. That is, when you use a live CD, you do not get any malware sent to your hard drive.0 -
as admin you can still do sfc /scannow just to make sure you do not have any hacked/corrupt ms drivers, and you will need the xp cd for this0
