Replacing us with "their" clones would be pointless since the clones would look like them and would therefore not be convincing replacements for us.

They would need to replace them with OUR clones in order to fit in.

Yeah thats what i ment. Looks like they may have already got to me

I think the best argument for aliens not visting us is that the nearest star system is 4.2421 light years or 24920647758761 miles away fastest we've got a space ship is 35,800mph so that would take aprox 9000ish years to get too. That presuming it has habitat planets.

Now if you've got the technology to travel those kinds of distances in short biological time periods. Why the hell would want to visit a cruddy little planet called that occupants call earth. Unless they wanted to steal our resources again there weaponry would be much more advanced and they would have invaded by now.

On a side note I thought it was all to do with a alien virus, an conspiracy involving a smoking man and only two plucky FIB agents can save us.

Would have to admit that this is a very unstable planet, and if aliens existed with such technology I am sure there would be many other planets they could visit, who knows, maybe Earth is some form of planetary prison, and we are the oblivious prisoners.

Not sure about linear space travel, even at light speed, but maybe a wormhole or even the ability to "bend" space so two points can meet up, thus traveling such vast distances need not be the journey, they could simply "hop" from one point to the next if they could bend space, or drag the destination toward them.

Yes all science fiction, but lets not forget only 200 Year ago, flying a heavy object across the sky was deemed impossible, it was the work of witches or demons, it was even thought we would be killed if we traveled more than 30mph. Assuming these "aliens" are that much more advanced than us, it is quite possible what we think of as impossible, has just not been discovered yet. ;)

Sorry but your wrong aliens are not invading us.

We have already been invaded, and have already begun to replace us with their clones. Its the only thing that can explain the behaviour of some people.

Apparently according to a program shown in the U.S, a particular race of aliens are becoming extinct so they are abducting humans so they can have sex with us because they need our genes to keep their race going.

Strange don't you think that it only happens in America.
Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p

Plus would you really want to make yourself known?

We kill eachother plus if it was captured we'd probably kill it doing experiments on it.

No really a good holiday advertisement.

  • OH was adamant he was watching a UFO the other week...it was a Chinese lantern.

I did see something I couldnt explain years ago, I'd not long had DD and was sat on the sofa feeding her and looking out of the window. I saw what I can only describe as a jack shaped object (you know the kids game?) it was as if it was rolling over itself slowly, very very odd. It was a clear, bright day. As the shape reached the horizon it stopped spinning and shot upwards.

Have to admit we have been sat outside in the back late at night watching for these lanterns going by.

If there are other life forms out there then they must be pretty ugly... After all the winners or Mr or Miss Universe are always from Earth ;):D

I saw something when I was a kid with 2 friends that none of us could explain but then again we were only 6 or 7 years old so it could have been pretty much anything other than a standard 747 and we wouldn't really have known.

I would be very surprised though if out of the entire universe that we know about we are the only form of life but i'm sure we'll never know for sure in our life times.

Why would they want to visit? Maybe their UPS (universal positioning system) broke so the female made them stop to ask for directions? Maybe they threaten to send their misbehaving kids here (do you want to end up like those pathetic humans.....well?.....DO YOU????)?

Maybe they're searching for buried treasure or on a treasure hunt? :rotfl:

Of course as for the distance part.....who's to say that they're travelling that far? Mars is only a jump hop and a skip away (ok maybe a little more than that but you get my drift). We dont know what life is on what planets. Just because there no proof to support something, doesnt mean it doesnt exist and vice versa (yes i'm one of those nuts who dont believe that the moon landing actually happened - space exploration is a industry that i think costs far too much money and attention when we should be focusing on the planet we live on that is in dire need of attention).

Failing all of that, how about visitors from the future?
