Where is HP sauce made then (and I think you meant relocate)?0 -

Yes I meant relocate

Thanks
So much has left these shores in terms of manufacturing I really don't even bother looking where things are made.0 -
A Dailymail link to base an informed opinion on. Hmmm...
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8507066.stm
http://www.foodmanufacture.co.uk/Business-News/Kraft-confirms-closure-of-Cadbury-s-Somerdale-plant
Daily Mail was the first link on Google.
Kraft expressly stated they would keep it open and leaked documents showed they had absolutely no plans to keep it open. They waited until the merger completed and laid them off anyway.
The bully tactics of a big firm who doesn't give a damn about anything but money.
Of course, all business revolves around money, but to say you will save jobs and then cut them is, frankly, disgusting practice.0 -

the government(so i heard) did say they were going to meet with the execs of kraft and ask them what they were playing at re the closed plant, the plant was planned for a closure by cadbury anyway but they were honest about it, im boycotting kraft and cadbury as it was a disgrace cadbury sold out,
in reply to the ops question just email cadburys and say the taste has put you off buying cadbury or sometihng like the taste isnt what you expect form a cadburys product0 -
Boycotting Cadbury won't hurt Kraft but it will hurt British workers in Bournville.
Better to boycott Kraft stuff that's made abroad.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Why should I increase the bank balance of a faceless mass organisation when they're already doing the damage? Even if the entire of the UK were to boycott them, they still have a huge American market who generally don't even know use our products:Cadbury products in the USA are manufactured and distributed under a franchise agreement by: Hershey Chocolate USA 19 East Chocolate Avenue, PO Box 8190

I haven't noticed any change in taste, even in the freshest batches to come in store. Boycotts are often tried, but the amount of people boycotting is so laughably small that the company wouldn't even notice the dip in sales.
Personally I don't care where it is made, as long as the taste is the same, and so far it is. The American buy out may actually help the range, we might get some of the more exotic and unusual flavours and fillings that other countries enjoy, such as the Rocky Road Dairy Milk and Black Forest Dairy Milk. I have tasted these American and New Zealand varieties, and the chocolate tastes exactly the same as Brit Dairy Milk, so I have little concern that the brand is going to suffer. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0
