It seems a lot better Rik, thank you very much, much faster too. Should I be looking for another Anti virus other than avast and is there anythng I should run to keep it safe. I dont mind paying for an anti virus its just (as you can see) I am a complete dim whit when it comes to all this stuff. Thanks so much

Avast is fine to keep

Id definitely keep malwarebytes and do periodic updates and scans

Id advise using FIREFOX with the NOSCRIPT plugin for using the internet (Blocks webpages by default (Amongst other things), you then unblock them to use them)

You might also consider SPYBOT for scanning and its immunise feature (I always advise keeping TEA TIMER mode switched off though as people who dont know what theyre doing tend to block things they shouldnt)
