Primus Problems

Has anyone else had problems with Primus??

1st problem
I've had a direct Debit setup but no money taken even tho ive rung up and checked with them its setup and they said yes its activated. I then had a letter saying that if my account isn't paid then they will suspend my account..i rung up again and said do you want to take a payment over the phone or will the direct debit take the payment of £10ish on the 14th as the letter states if its not paid by the 11th account will be suspended. Guy said the account wont get suspended and direct debit will definately go. 11th comes and account is suspended and phone not making calls.

2nd problem

I ordered Broadband over a month ago and went for 2Mb.. then had a letter saying my user name and password and 2mb was being setup. few days later heard nothing so rung up and got told i wasnt able to get 2Mb as Bt had rejected it. The guy said we'll try again and they should accept it.. had another letter then stating my username and password and 2mb couple days later. rung up to check and it was all ok.. got told no rejected AGAIN!!!

Then had enough and spoke to Bt and they said if i went with them then i could get 2mb so why cant i have 2Mb with Primus???
Primus then put an order through for 1mb.. had two letters stating my username and password for 1mb..
rung last week and found out this has been declined also..

What the hell is happening???????????????????????

Do you think I should complain as i havent been messed about so much with my fone and internet??

Any advice would be great..thanks:beer:

  • I'm also having the same problem getting my broadband started.

I keep phoning to be told that BT have rejected my line when I know there should be no problem since I had to cancel my old contract (since I was on an LLU circuit). When I do the Can I get Broadband check from another ISP eg. AOL, it reports no problem (in the past it said I couln't get broadband from them) and my link light is flashing.

I am not sure how much time to give them as dial up is really hard to get used to again

Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.
  • I've had Primus Broadband for about 3 weeks now (1MB) and had no problems but my line rental was with TalkTalk and not BT, don't know if that makes any difference. Hopefully someone here will have more idea and be of help to you.
  • Had a phone call and Primus are launching something new.. waiting for a letter as they couldnt tell me over the phone as its all hush hush at the moment..the letters supposed to be very interesting!!

They have also requested something called a CME request to Bt which apparently goes to management to sort out my problems and to sort out why i've been declined.
