    Hi there

You are able to cancel the PPI anytime you want.

However, I would make sure you have adequate cover if you require this if you can, maybe as a stand alone cover perhaps.;)

    Thanks for the reply,
I would like hear from anybody else who has dealt with A & L.
In regards to the Sar letter I have sent, will they send me details only for my credit card account or will it cover all accounts I hold with them as I had a 5 year Loan with them 6 years ago and I am trying to track down the paperwork for a possible second claim.

    Hi and your welcome.

An SAR, they should send all they still hold on you, so this would include statements, anything in relation to all accounts and ppi, however they do tend to go back the last 6 years, but some will send info going back to even earlier years.;)

Hi Lilolill I had a loan with A&L and successfully reclaimed, they aren't quick at things unfortuantely, they do send letters etc and replies but the cheque took ages!

    Hi there

You can write a letter to reclaim if you want to, but on this site, the first template reclaim letter have been replaced by the FOS questionnaire, these were recently issued by the financial ombudsman service (FOS), you complete and save a copy for yourself as well, and send to whoever was responsible for setting up your policy.

They have 8 weeks in full to respond.

The FOS questionnaire is below link - further down the page as stage one here:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance

These are nothing to do with the FOS complaints form, some people get confused, you only use the complaints form if the bank or loan company/broker have not given you a favourable response by the final decision.

Hope this helps, good luck with this.;)

Had a response back, they have included a Fos letter just like the one on this site. Filled it in and sent recorded today. Fingers crossed.
