A & L credit card PPI claim

Hi there
You are able to cancel the PPI anytime you want.
However, I would make sure you have adequate cover if you require this if you can, maybe as a stand alone cover perhaps.;)
Had another letter today saying they need more time and have given me a response date of the 29th September.
Is this a good sign ?
They have not said no yet, fingers crossed .0 -
A lot do this, so it may be ok, I know they were overloaded when I claimed, they may write sooner than that, think it just covers them giving u a date!0

I have just received the SAR documents today. The original 4 page agreement copy is in there minus pages 2 & 3 !.
Page 1 shows electronic crosses in the yes boxes for PPI and lost card protection at £10 per year ? ( did not know i had this either ).
page 4 has my signature on it. I do not recall ever signing this document as i was sold the PPI over the phone. The document is dated in 2002 , the statements are all there but the cash figures are missing from the statements prior to 2004 . Is this due to them only keeping docs for 6 years. Strange i have the rest of the statement though.
They have yet to reply to me on the claim yet still needing more time , so i'll wait and see, but I am going to stick to my guns as i never recall signing this document and were never told all the facts on the PPI at that time.
Fingers crossed........:)0 -
thats the right attitude, :j:j:j
keep with it and wait to see what they come back with,I'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free0 -

I received a final response back today basically saying that as I was sold PPI over the phone and they wish to continue to ensure appropriate sales practice, as a goodwill gesture they are refunding all my premiums and associated interest from 2003 until present day.
A nice sum of £2684.00.
All this from one letter, a SAR request & a FOS questionnaire.
Well worth it I think.
Thanks again to everybody who helps on this forum as you not only help out with the claiming process but also with motivating people to claim back what is rightfully thiers !!!!
Now to help my friends out.........
