I have a citreos zsara picassa and love it. all three seats can be moved individually so are great and often I have three car seats in the back.

Only oproblem i have is that it hasn't got a good turning circle but I can live with that.

I had one of those and the fuel costs :eek::eek:

Plus a lot of them get gearbox issues. We've got the same issue as the OP, (well, baby no 4, 5 seats no longer enough 3 seats need to go in back)

Plus it was quite sluggish because it weighed as much as a pregnant elephant :o

ETA: The OP needs the big child seats still. But a Galaxy would still be overkill, imo, especially fuel/insurance-wise.

fair enough. It works for us because we do some stage building stuff so the load space is great. Plus its our second car so won't be doing the mileage hubbys does due to work.

Are Picassos ok for reliability?? I have never had a citroen. That being said I have really enjoyed our laguna and had very little issues with it.

I had my Picasso for 3 years.. it never let me down once.. it passed each MOT and apart from normal wear & tear purchases tyres, brakes etc it was fine.

I have just recently got a C4 Grand Picasso and I love it!

Yes they are the same car. The sharan does have a better engine, especially the diesel version. Most of the galaxies have a 2.3l petrol, which was costing about £70 a week taking OH to work and back and the odd tesco trip

His quad bike uses £5 a week in fuel ;)

Can't speak for the picasso, never had one and now need 6 seats but my friend has one and the driving position is lovely and high.

We get our new(ish) car this week :D:D:D

According to Honest John (Saturday) the only car he has found that takes 3 isofix car seats (abreast) is the Hyundai Danta Fe (new one?).

Been around the garages today and TBH I just do not like the picasso. I do not know why but there is just something that I really hate I think its the height plus the weird dashboard mounted gear stick. It felt alien and I am not convinced it is something I could get used too.

Touran/galaxy/voyager they all seemed just too big. Considering we will still have the signum and OH will have that to work 5 days a week so it will just be me and 3 kids apart from holidays and weekends when it could be the 5 of us.

We are thinking of focusing on large saloons rather than MPV's
