See if you can get a copy of this book from the library. It's brilliant. The reviews on amazon will tell you about it better than me.

I second that. The (American) Flylady - Marla Cilley - has transformed my life, my home and taken the stress out of cleaning. Apart from the book there is the website (https://www.flylady.net), which also has offshoots for healthy eating, exercise and even how to dress. It's amazing!

I find browsing MSE fairly motivating (how cheesy does that sound!). I've been suffering from lack of motivation and lethargy recently, I'm blaming being pregnant and looking after a 13 month old, and having a browse on here usually prompts me to try cooking something different or to go and do some cleaning.

Looking after 4 kids under 7 sounds like hard enough work to me so don't be too hard on yourself. I'm worn out with just the one! I think the fact that you are thinking about it and making plans is a good start.

(I never iron either, unless I am going to a wedding or an interview!)

Oh god i know how you feel about being demotivated!

All was ok till i began work and ended up doing an NVQ as well so all my time wa rushing abou6t doing work, doing paperwork and trying to keep the house going with the help of my hubby.
Then i got greif from work, no idea why but i was picked on so my confidence started to drop, but i kept going and got my NVQ finished and passed.
I then got another job working with what i though was people with sight difficulties, well that was a BIG fat lie, i think i worked with 2 young people that had sight difficulties, the rest had learning difficulties that i was not expecting, well this job was ok to start with but then i went downill, i was getting threatened on a daily basis by students and so this bought me down even more, i ended up on anti depressants last November and finally quit my job in March, sicnce then i have been a lot happier but i still find it hard to get motivated to do stuff round the house, i find i can spend a lot of time just watching the TV.
now the kids are on holiday (have 3 girls. 10, 8 and 5) that i am trying to be out of the house with friends as much as i can so i am not in the house.
The big thing we have no decided though is to sell the house and rent as we have no money and nothing to do for the kids, so i do have to get my !!!! in gear to get this mess of a house ready for next year!
