Anyway I thought Apple were a US based company, wouldn't it have been cheaper for the buyer to buy it from the US?

Iphone 4g s are in very short supply. People with more money than sense and absolutely no patience are paying silly money for them.

Well if you can get that much for them, worth signing up to a few contracts.

Not really. Cheapest tariff on 02 is 24 months at £25 a month plus one off payment of £323 so thats £923 if you then included £40 final value fees plis £32 paypal fees the total would be £995. So not really much profit in that.

Also the silly prices are only going for unlocked phones.

Naive and greed ??? what is this a personal slating ???

1/ the buyer is willing to wait until I get the phone back and receive her refund.

We have both been very amicable and DHL have accepted full responsibility and customer services are refundung full costs including any charges for returing the item.

2/ Greed ??? I didn't bid on the item. So I did not stipulate the cost. It could have went for as little as 99p. The buyers bid on items therefore they ultimately decide how much it goes for.

It is after all a buyer's market. And as for disaster waiting to happen ? I think not. As my other one sent the same day got there no problem at all.

What if a couple of weeks go by and it is still not returned? Is the buyer going to be willing to carry on waiting as the 45 day limit approaches?

Its not going to take that long. DHL are in the process of returning it asap and giving me compensation also.

They have been in touch with me and the buyer to confirm everything.

I hope so. But a long time customer of DHL (and I think they are the best for me) leaves me thinking 'bird in the hand'.

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
