Is this unusual?
My mum's just come into some money and we've been looking at them for her retirement planning, money's just come through, but we can't currently buy them
Will they be on sale soon, does anyone have any idea?
My concern is that they're looking like such a good idea with RPI looking high in the near term that they've been swamped and they won't be running them any time soon as it's just too expensive for them.

I think they've been pulled for the foreseeable future, for the reasons you gave.0

It is unusual, they will be back, but probably not this year.
Plenty of threads about this.0 -
It's likely they'll be linked to CPI rather than RPI when they become available - guess why? This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

OK cheers guys. Funny, I couldn't find any threads about it.
Yes it wouldn't surprise me if they linked it to CPI instead, to be fair CPI is probably closer to her rate of inflation anywayI'm obviously in a good mood...

Yes. This forum seems a waste of time really. Half the "tax free" stuff goes in the parent forum.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

I agree. IMHO a better split would be a forum for saving and a forum for investment. Unfortunately many do not seem to understand and/or appreciate there is a difference.:)"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
