    Exactly.

    I'm not saying that these mice were the best looked after in the world. And I am a bit sorry about that.
    But I'd rather the kids learnt about this stuff with a pet like this than a cat or a dog, etc.

    Well, you live and learn don't you?
    at least you are all now aware of the responibilites of pet ownership and I dont think 1yr. is bad going for a mouse anyhow.

    We're very inexperienced with mice, Ritaaaa, so yes we may well not have spotted anything was up if they were good at hiding an illness.
