Ebico-thoughts anyone?

My opinion: I used them for several years, and I can confirm that their customer service was excellent. Although I pay by direct debit I found their prices to be reasonably competitive.
Eventually I left them, but found that moving to the cheapest supplier (for my area and usage) gave me a saving that was rather less than the bonus for switching.0 -
OK
Actually they don't even appear on the page
Go to http://www.energyhelpline.com/
put in a Hydro post code say PH1 1DD
put in Eon fixonline8 as current tarrif and 18000 kWh for gas and 4000 kWh for electricity and tell me what the cost would be with Ebico?
Here they are, with all these other more expensive suppliers/tariffs below them

Sorry for the small image size, but it was the only way to get to include all the options more expensive than ebico!"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -

What are you talking about?0 -
I must be bored, with the info supplied:
EON Fix on line 8: £922
Ebico: £1215That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Not bored, penrhyn, perhaps you just haven't read what the poster wroteI must be bored, with the info supplied:
EON Fix on line 8: £922
Ebico: £1215
i.e. "That is because they are so expensive and are the last company on the page" and "Actually they don't even appear on the page"
The evidence is there for all to see.
i.e that Ebico are on the comparison site and that there are about 20 more expensive supplier/tariffs available - the most expensive being Utilita standard tariff at £1736 p.a.
Interestingly, the comparison I made using the units and area supplied was based on the default suppliers for that area set by the comparison site (BG for gas, Scottish Hydro for electricity) with current payment assumed 'pay on receipt of bill'. Interestingly, despite the assumed usage not being low, the results show Ebico to be about the same price (well £3 per year cheaper)
Edit: Eon Fix Online 8, however, doesn't appear to show on the comparison site.
I believe this is because it is no longer available to new customers having been withdrawn at the end of June this year."Now to trolling as a concept. .... It shows, to me anyway, 10 results on a page with the next page showing 1 result.
Show me where Ebico appears on that result page.
And it is immaterial whether fixonline8 appears, I have just proved that Ebico does not appear on every search result

And I ain't bored either, just retired.0

Just to confirm Premier, Fixonline 8 was withdrawn from sale for both new and existing customers just over a month ago.
Therefore, you are quite right; this is why it is no longer on the comparison sites.

Are you deliberately being silly? No-one is arguing that Ebico will always appear in the top six or top ten tariffs - but it does appear somewhere in the results - which, contrary to your statement, it does with that result you posted - if you actually bother to read the button you press before clicking at random.
So there.
(Here's a clue - Energyhelpline has TWO tables of results on their results page.)0 -
