Buying Tyre online...

blackcircle is good. I'm not mainland, so they just ship over to me... well worth the price though.0

I've used eBay to shop through reputable companies...I have a pickup that has normally expensive tyres, saved a fortune on there.
And the pickup runs on 50% veg oil through the summer, gotta fly the MSE flag!0 -
It might be worth getting some prices on line and then haggling with the local independant. The place I go to is very close in prices to the online prices (and on occasion has been cheaper) even without any haggling - and he always has the tyres in stock so I can go when convenient for me.0

Don't use eTyres - they'll charge you for mid range but fit budget (and then try to claim the budget are actually mid range!)0

Yet another vote for Camskill. If it's not in stock they tell you when you try to order.
As for fitting, don't forget that most garages can fit tyres. You don't have to have a speciailst tyre fitter do the job.0 -

When you use black circles you get a couple of local places as suggestions for fitting, the last couple of times I’ve needed tyres I’ve got the quote from black circles and then phoned the suggested fitting places and given them the chance to match or beat.
They usually will so you end up £ in pocket, your money stays local and in the unlikely event of a problem with the tyres you avoid any possibility of the supplier & fitter blaming each other.
Win-win-win0 -
another vote from camskill here.
tyres delivered in a couple of days and fitted at local National tyres.
Bizarrely, National insisted I had a receipt for my tyres because they had experienced a break in and I needed a receipt to prove I had bought the tyres from a another retailer rather than a guy in the pub.
Easy enough to print off the email receipt though.
Keen photographer with sales in the UK and abroad.
Willing to offer advice on camera equipment and photography if i can!0 -
Been using Camskill for years with no problem, if they don't have the tyres in stock they will email you straight away and give you the option of choosing another make or cancelling, they will not take your money till they can fulfill the order.
Mytyres worth a look too, again used for years with no problems, normally Camskills beat them (and everyone else) but now and again they have the right tyres at the right price.0 -
I've used Blackcircles a couple of times.
Blackcircles send the tyres to the garage if the garage doesn't stock them. The fitting charge is passed onto the garage, Blackcircles get the cost of the tyre(s).
Once you work out which garage they're using, phone them up and ask if they can match the price.Dave. :wave:0
