Virgin broadband - getting QuidCo cashback on "transfer of responsibility"?

Hey there,
My flatmate's moving out, and his Virgin broadband contract is coming to an end. I was just going to register as a new customer via QuidCo to get the £65 cashback deal, but I've been told by Virgin that, because there's an existing contract at the address, we need to complete a "transfer of responsibility" document, which they're going to post out to me. They reckon I'll still be able to get the cashback, but I certainly can't see a way to do this via the QuidCo website.

Anyone else been in a similar position and been able to get cashback? Even without the cashback, Virgin's probably still the best option for broadband for us, as we don't have a BT landline and don't want an 18-month contract with BT...

Cheers!
Pete.

I can't see how it would work. I'd let the flat mate cancel the services, wait until the day after cancellation and place the order through quidco then. You will be without services for a short while, but I can't see how you can get the cashback otherwise.
