Iphone problem

Hi,
I have a Apple Iphone 3GS 16GB. The silence button has stopped working, does anyone know if this is covered under warranty and if so will vodafone rectify the problem or apple?
I also have a cracked case which I know is covered by my insurance however they ask for proof of purchase. I've lost my original receipt which I received when I brought the phone from a vodafone store 6 months ago or so. Is there any way of obtaining a re-print/copy of this receipt?

If you paid by credit card and have your bill for that month then that should suffice as proof of purchase.

Thanks, I have my bank statement from Jan showing £89 being paid to vodaphone but my bill doesn't show that I've paid this money for the Iphone. I guess they could argue that this money could be for anything!
