    How's the tiling going, Butti?

It's good. The tiles are gorgeous - starting to think now that this was a good idea rather than just thinking 'I'm tired, I've got enough on my plate'. Had a complete hissy fit in B&Q today. They have a policy now of not giving credit notes for stuff you bring back without a receipt. I was only asking for money back on eight poxy mosaic tiles. After I'd gone on and on and on about how much I'd spent in B&Q over the past two days and how I was intending to buy a tile cutter but now wouldn't bother they relented. I was like a 2 year old on a mission - probably a bit embarrassing.

Much easier putting tiles on than taking them off!

Doomcow, I'm a bit worried. You appear to be talking to yourself :D

How are you, apart from bored?

I have to find someone to do all those 'little jobs',

putting in screws for the shower head
putting in a screw to fully secure the washbasin
    fixing the kitchen door handle
    re-attaching the radiator

Why is there no 'lots of little jobs' man

Not quite sure what I'm going to do.

I'm sure a handyman would give you an hourly rate to do all those.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Thanks Ames, I'll see where I can get with that.

Doomcow, My family are useless on both the DIY and supporting me angle. Actually, maybe a little harsh, the helpful member of the family is in Greece! My dad offered to buy me curtains for my house warming present. I paid the deposit on my credit card and he then decided he would pay the rest minus the deposit. Always feel like I'm scraping around for any support.

....then get told I am no good at asking for help!
