Can't stay 'signed in'

All of a sudden I cannot remained signed into the site, I obviously have ticked the box to remain logged in, but as soon as I navigate away from the site, I am logged out. Very strange as this has never happened before. Any ideas as to why this is happening please?

Does this happen if you use an alternate browser?

I only use the one browser, Internet Explorer as I always have done. This has only happened about 4 days ago, and yet again this morning same thing.

My husband has just said he has the same problem! (he uses a different PC) and he uses Firefox

If you clear your cookies, and then log in with the "remember" option ticked again, does it solve the issue?

I was going to suggest that maybe its as a result of cleaning your cookies out.

i hav this problem, but only at home - i think it may be because i am constantly signed in at work though....

I have cleared the cookies as suggested, but there is no change. I logged in after doing so, clicking 'remember me', but if I navigate away from the site, I am logged out. As I mentioned before, the exact same thing is happening with my husband.

Yes, cookies are enabled for MSE its really wierd as this only happened in the past few days

Finally discovered what the problem was! Somehow in Internet Options in the "delete browsing history on exit" was ticked, I unticked that, and heyho! end of problem Thought this might help someone else.
