My next door neighbours are weird. I happened to look out of dd's bedroom window last weekend for the first time in over a week (I don't pull the curtains during the week) and out on their extension flat roof was loads of 'stuff'. Planks of wood, rolls of roof felt, dozens of plant pots stacked up, a Dyson, various plastic boxes that looked like they had drills in, at least 3 planters with loads of earth in but dead plants, 2 bar stools, some kind of metal dish thing, a ladder, more stuff too numerous to mention.

I reckon he must be building a new shed but I would have thought he'd have got a wiggle on with it now seeing as the weather has been dry. Also, I know the roofs are quite strong but I don't really think they are designed to take so much extra weight - the planters alone must weigh a lot and it can't have been easy to get them up there.

Also I noticed that my downpipe from my main roof that runs along my extension roof had become disconnected so i slithered snakelike out of dd's bedroom window and reconnected it. I think it has become disconnected whilst next door has been lumbering stuff up onto his roof because it runs very close to the edge of the roof. If we had had heavy rain and it had all run out of the pipe onto my roof I wouldn't have been very pleased because it could have seeped into my kitchen. Anyway I have videoed his roof (for insurance purposes - you never know :shhh:).

There is loads of sh1te just piled up in the front garden too - their xmas tree is still there. Just take it to the tip! It's a good job I've got the house moving idea out of my system because it doesn't look very nice.

I know there's "out of sight, out of mind" - but it sounds like he's expecting it to never rain again.

Disappointment looms large in his future.

And if he's punctured his felt - very large.

I have felt quite low this week and a bit stressed. Had a meal out with some girls from work last night which was really nice.

DD was staying at my mum and dad's so I got up early this morning and had stripped the beds and done the ironing by 8.30am :D. Whizzed off to A1di to get the food shop done. I needed quite a bit but I had a voucher for £5 off a £35 shop and it came to £39.03. Still over my weekly budget but I did get some Easter bits to do an Easter egg hunt for dd and a cut-out doll dressing up book for making me proud at parent's evening.

Picked dd up and then we went to the library where I found to my annoyance I had a fine  (£1.50) and then off for a few extra bits from sainsbugs. I spent more than i wanted to but Io got a new set of plates and bowls which was £10 reduced from £25. I've been meaning to get some new ones for about 2 years now as the one we have is nice but is only 4 place settings. I've now got double what we've got and the new one is quite similar to the old one (black and white print).

We have spent the afternoon knitting (not going too well), dusting (love it when it's done) and watching the Chav family over the road. These are the ones who had the kitten that stayed out all night keeping me awake (if anyone remembers). Now they just wake me up at 1am when they come back in their extremely noisy car and make a racket getting the kids out (yes they keep their kids up till 1am - shocking).

Mr Chav has got about 4 of his mates round, similar hoody wearing, nicotine puffing wasters, effing and blinding and tinkering with whatever car he's got outside - at the moment a banana yellow carpmobile.

I did have a good gossip about them with my lovely next door neighbour (not the messy one, the other side) and it's not gone unnoticed along the street at what's going on there. I have my suspicions where all their money is coming from - they never seem to be at work (in fact are in bed till midday apparently), there's lots of people coming and going and Mr Chav is always wandering up and down the street on his mobile. This is such a lovely little road and they are really bringing the area down - along with my other neighbour and all the carp on his roof and in the front garden.

    More ebay activity...

I still have one item unpaid for.:( Chased.

I got a saucy email about my unusual item :rotfl:Ignored.

I got positive comments but a negative rating from a buyer (????) so my rating has gone down to 97.5% - stupid woman. Queried.

I have a bid on a top and another vintage magazine has had 4 bids so far and has doubled in price :)

Managed 4 runs and a pole class this week so I'm quite pleased on the exercise front.

Going to catch up on my TV tonight as soon as dd has gone to bed - I still haven't watched Titanic.

And guess what.....NO HEADACHE TODAY :j:j:j

We went out for a lovely long walk today. DD rode her bike - I was going to take my dad'd bike but it's a bit too big for me. We walked about 3 miles anyway so was a nice bit of exercise. The sunshine and blue sky was deceptive though - it was really cold!

After lunch we took a trip out to get a new shower fixing. We have a corner bath and it's lovely but the shower has been positioned too near the corner (over the seat part) so it's difficult to stand under it and shower properly. So I bought a single shower bracket and have stuck it up with N0 Nai1s :D. Hope it stays up..

We had a look in Ha1fords at the bikes too. They had one there that would have been perfect for me, not least because if I bought that one there and then it would have only been £80 ;). I restrained myself though. I will get one though - it's perfect exercise and we have just had a new cyclodrome opened near us.

We also had a quick look in Lid1 where I bought some pasta and then up to Ald1 where we treated ourselves to some luxury shower gel for when we have a decent shower to use - hopefully tomorrow.

Dinner is in the oven - Magg1 sticky BBQ chicken, rice and broccoli - it smells gorgeous.

The Chavs have been out this afternoon. They seem to have multiplied overnight. There's now 8 of them revving the engine. The kids are screeching up and down the road and the parents are yelling at them to stay out of it but making no effort to stop them. I guess that's the end to peaceful Sunday afternoons around here

A skirt, a dress and a top have just sold on fleabay :) so need to parcel them up.

The buyer who hadn't paid up has now paid up :)

I've just cut dd's and my fringes.

I need to do the washing up but don't have the motivation for it :(. I want to have a nice bath afterwards and maybe do a bit of beautification. My nails certainly need it :o

My lovely mum and dad have said to me that I should use my laptop savings to buy myself a bike and they will get me a laptop for my 40th (in June). I am very lucky.

So I counted out the Hedgehog last night and I have £102.10. I've asked a friend who races bikes if he can recommend a shop who won't rip me off whilst at the same time getting something that fulfils all my biking needs :rotfl:

Just got home insurance sorted out. I can't afford to pay the whole lot in one go but I have made a £50 saving on last year. It wasn't possible to go through a cashback site either (well I could have but I wouldn't have saved anything). New dd is £2.73 p/month cheaper.

I'm off next week so need to get the car exhaust sorted.

Have to pay ASC fees before 5 April too :(

3 watchers on unorthodox fleabay item.:o

Still waiting payment for 2 items - why don't they just pay up????

How lovely of your parents, and how exciting that you'll be getting a bike !

My biking needs are simple; two wheels, saddle & anything over 6 gears is quite unnecessary :D I've never sussed out how to use them, am I meant to multiply the left & right grip shift ? add them together ? Too complex !

Very, very kind of your parents...what a generous pressie:)
I am impressed with you getting a bike - I've not ridden one since hiring an ancient one in Menorca with the kids about 8 years ago:rotfl: (Not a pretty sight!)

I managed to get a few bits on ebay a couple of days ago...stuff that's been lurking about waiting to be listed for ages. not much interest so far, it'll go to jumble if no-one wants it:o I seem to have run out of decent stuff. Mind you, girls haven't sorted through last year's summer stuff yet - might be some half decent stuff there they don't want.

We love the Magg1 bag things - was meant to have one tonight but need to use the chicken that was earmarked for last night's dinner as we got fish and chips on the way back from the fair last night:D So meals all shifted forward and Magg1 will be eaten next week!
I really need to sort out a new signature!
