PPI Claim Lloyds TSB

  • Well.....I received a response from Lloyds TSB yesterday, they are saying that in my original agreement that I had ticked the box for ppi.
They say that the response is their last on this matter and have sent me the FOS booklet to progress my claim to them if I am still unhappy.

I will be doing that, as I would not have ticked that box as I have a ppi of my own and they have produced no evidence of such a statement.

    I shall keep all informed.
    For now

    Hi there

This is a bog standard response from lloyds, have they given you the opportunity to write back with further information?

Sometimes they are known to change a final decision within good reason, you can ask them to reconsider by giving them 14 days to get back before you decide to move on to the FOS.

Keep on at them and good luck.:)

    Hi All.

I applied for a loan from Lloyds TSB in branch about 5 years ago and was told by the rep that I had to take out PPI insurance in case I lost my job. They said they would not give me a loan unless I had the insurance with it.

So I said yes to the loan as I needed it. Since the news about PPI I asked for the paper work of the loan as I threw out the originals last year. Looking at the new paperwork I can see that the PPI is £0 even though I know for a fact I paid this.

Could it be a possibility that they have messed with the figures to avoid compensation?

What do you think I should do?

    Hi there

    Yes its possible.

So was your paperwork through a SAR where they sent you a good amount of paperwork on the loans, or was that just the agreement?

Personally I would call into the branch, speak to the manager, and ask them to check the systems in front of you.

    How strange.
Read my thread under lloyds tsb. Is this a new tactic by lloyds?
