PPI Claim Lloyds TSB

Options
Hello everyone,
I am new to the forum, so please forgive me if this is not posted in the correct place.
I have spent lots of time reading about other people who have gone the route of claiming back money on their PPI's and realised that I too had become a victim of misselling.
So..........after much thought, I used the questionnaire template last Thursday and posted it off to Lloyds TSB.
I have received a standard reply and acknowledgement today with the 8 week time limit from my claim.
I realise that this may be the long haul, but now that the ball is rolling, I am ready for anything!
I have had my card since the late 90's and have been paying a PPI on it, but never realised what it was, I never agreed to it and although I can only look at retrieving the last 6 yrs, at least it would be something.
I paid the payments through direct debit and didn't pay attention to all of the things on the bill, I only checked that the listed transactions were ones that I had done..........god I never realised how much this was costing me.
I have since cleared the card to £0, so they will be getting no more of my money.
Fingers crossed that I can at least retrieve something.
All of the success stories that I have read, have made me think that its time I stood up for myself.

Hi and welcome, and wishing you luck.

In this case then you should receive all you have paid in PPI, plus interest etc.

Now with it being a Credit Card ppi, just to make you aware so that you are prepared, most of the time, they do try to fob off but keep at them is best.
For example, they will possibly come back and say, we sent you the policy details and you could have cancelled by 30 days and the usual standard stuff, but this is Lloyds, do not worry though, keep us posted and we will help you through this.

    Good luck.;)

    Hi there

I have just received notice that Lloyds have agreed to settle my CC PPI claim which has just gone through the FOS.

I have had my card since mid 1990s and I'm hoping that its backdated to then. My claim started when my Lloyds Visa card changed to a Mastercard and I noticed that there was ppi on it and it made me question whether I did in fact have it on my Lloyds visa card which I have had since TSB and Lloyds merged awa back in 1995. I'm waiting on a figure to Lloyds and I've got no idea how much they are likely to offer me.

So keep at it as my case has taken over 13 months but hopefully I don't have too much longer to wait.
