It's about being brought up with other people doing EVERYTHING for you.
Somebody kindly gives a car to a relative, and that person abuses the vehicle, seems like a huge amount of disrespect to me.0 -
^^ I think we can both agree it's a combination of the two
People don't respect what they didn't have to earn!“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I have to agree. I worked very hard to buy that little car and I loved it. Niece has recently come home to live complete with 5 month old baby. I gave it to her as a gift for 2 reasons. Firstly, back in the early days when I was a struggling single mum, she used to sleep over at my house with my children so I could work nights and earn money to learn to drive. Secondly my exOH has recently given me his automatic Polo.
I think its a disgrace that the fiesta is beyond repair for the sake of a tenners worth of oil and 10 minutes of her time. Niece will suffer as she is out in the sticks with no public transport.
I will continue checking under my bonnet every month and before every long trip I do and I've learnt a little bit more about cars on here so Thank you all!One life.0 -

I'm very pleased to say my daughter has a classic mini that's her pride and joy, she checks the oil and water reguarly, then again it's a classic mini that leaks the oil and water everywhere.
She helped me change most of the front ball joints and gaiters for the MOT, she'll be changing the water pump, belt, thermostat, and diff oil seals over summer with me.0 -
Check my oil every couple of weeks, old Fords eat a fair bit of the stuff.0

Dohhh.another sealed for life car.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
